Alabama National Forests offer up some of the most beautiful off road experiences in North America. There are six forest districts that offer trail lovers ATV and dirt bike access. If you are looking for public ATV trails in Alabama then you need to explore everything these forests have to offer. The most notable trail system is the Flint Creek Multiple-Use Trail which offers over 16 miles of OHV fun and adventure. These trails are open to dirt bikes and ATV’s that are less than fifty inches wide.
Since this is a multiple-use trail you can also expect to find horse and bike riders as well as hikers out on the trail. There are restrooms located at the trail head.
If you own a Jeep or other similar 4x4 vehicle your access to the trail systems may be limited at best. These forests have splendid scenic drives with high overlooks, rolling hills, and breathtaking flat lands. Boater will enjoy big beautiful clean lakes large enough for both water skiers and anglers to enjoy. There are plenty of picnicking areas equipped with tables and some limited facilities.
If you like swimming there are plenty of place to stop and take a dip to cool off. You will also find an ample supply of camping areas for tent camping and RVers as well.
